Hello All, Thumbs up to both ideas! Michael, imo one of the things that's really been missing is something on how to do work in the background, while the ui and widgets remain visible. The principle is simple and stated already in http://haskell.org/gtk2hs/archives/2005/07/24/writing-multi-threaded-guis/#more-38 but this will probably be a stumbling block for any beginner (it was for me, in any case).
