What is the difference between your version of the package and the one from the Archlinux package? I tried to make a diff but was not really seeing any significant diff. BTW, your version is rel=1 and Archlinux is rel=2, maybe having yours rel=3 would make it more likely that it get install in priority. Well, yours seems to succeed to register sub-packages, where the Archlinux one, seems to see unmet dependencies for gtk2hs in the sub-packages: ... WARNING: unversioned dependencies are deprecated, and will NOT be accepted by GHC 6.10: base Reading package info from "/usr/lib/gtk2hs/sourceview.package.conf" ... done. ghc-pkg: dependency gtk-0.9.12.1 doesn't exist (use --force to override) WARNING: unversioned dependencies are deprecated, and will NOT be accepted by GHC 6.10: base building GHCi library /usr/lib/gtk2hs/HSsvgcairo.o... done. Reading package info from "/usr/lib/gtk2hs/svgcairo.package.conf" ... done. Saving old package config file... done. Writing new package config file... done. WARNING: unversioned dependencies are deprecated, and will NOT be accepted by GHC 6.10: base ... That said, as I was expecting, that change nothing to the error I get at linking. I am on x86-64 BTW, no idea if it matters. I have tried to deinstall ghc, then reinstall ghc and your gtk2hs without change. I am now thinking about trying what have worked for the other guy: Install ghc-6.9 from DARCS (well, I was/am not even knowing that the version in DARCS is 6.9). |
