You can add comments to this bug at http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3D319449 GStreamer | gst-ffmpeg | Ver: 0.8.x Summary: RealAudio over RTSP not working Product: GStreamer Version: 0.8.x Platform: Other OS/Version: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: Normal Component: gst-ffmpeg AssignedTo: gst...@li... ReportedBy: div...@gm... QAContact: gst...@li... CC: all...@bu... Please describe the problem: GStreamer refuses to play a RealAudio ".rm" file streamed over RTSP even = though it can play the same file if streamed over HTTP or read from local disk i= nstead. Among the various GStreamer plugins installed, there is indeed one which= claims to understand RTSP. Steps to reproduce: Try to play an episode of the NPR program "This American Life", such as <http://www.thislife.org/ra/49.ram>. This file is a playlist which point= s to <rtsp://a1769.v18544.c1854.g.vr.akamaistream.net/ondemand/7/1769/1854/111= 5330241/www.wbez.org/ta/49.rm>, an Akamai'ed RTSP stream. If the end part of that looks like a URL to you, you'd be right. You can connect to <http://www.wbez.org/ta/49.rm> directly, and GStreamer will ha= ppily play it. Actual results: Expected results: Does this happen every time? Other information: I'm using Ubuntu 5.10 on x86 with gst-ffmpeg from the "multiverse" reposi= tory (hope I got the version right; not sitting in front of it at the moment). ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug.
