[gscan2pdf-help] 0.9.19 and SuSE 10.3 (broken)

Hi,

I'm sorry to be raising questions again.  After prior correspondence, I
had 0.9.17 working on SuSE 10.3 linux, using the tar.gz package.

Today, I discovered I could no longer save to dvu or pdf.  I could scan
and save to tiff only.  My "guess" was that linux/SuSE updates had
broken something.

I tried installing 0.9.19.  At the perl Makefile.PL step, I received
this error message:

Config::General 0 not found

gscan2pdf 0.9.19 did not run at all.  I received this error message:

Can't locate Config/General.pm

The good news is that I then reinstalled 0.9.17 and everything was now
working again.  (ie., dvu/pdf saves.)  How bizarre is that?
