I haven't looked in the source for xsane, but if the backend for your scanner does not offer these options, then xsane must be scanning in Grey or Colour and adjusting the image afterwards in software. Please file a wishlist bug against the Debian package to remind me to add an option to adjust the contrast. In the mean time, the latest version of gscan2pdf (0.9.31) allows you to run user-defined scripts. You could either write a one-line script with imagemagick and run that, or use GIMP to do it (the default user-defined script). Regards Jeff |
