Hi, It seems to me that gscan2pdf is what I need, but it gives me some odd results when trying to save the scanned images: (1) If I select "image type pdf", no downsampling and no compression, gscan2pdf will be busy quite long trying to save the file, but in the end it gives me an all black page. (2) If I select "image type pdf", downsampling 300dpi and no compression, gscan2pdf will be busy quite doing some image processing (what??), which in the end saves a modified version of the scanned image: I am trying to scan some hand-written notes. My pencil strokes are somehow surrounded by extra lines that make them appear thicker than what they are. What am I doing wrong?
