Tried that before I posted the above Don. No go. Gramps MUST be looking for the ui module elsewhere. Perhaps there is a path or execution problem as well. When you coded the gramps-main.py module did you have to declare where the ui module is located or does python2.2 KNOW where its loadable modules are located? Is there a .conf file for python2.2 or pygtk that declares the location of loadable modules? My big problem is I know nothing about Python coding. The funny thing is that I cannot locate a ui.so or uimodule.so anywhere on my RH8 system but it HAS to be there somewhere. Maybe under a different name. I appreciate all your help to date. This problem will probably turn out to have a really simple solution in hind sight. --=20 Kind regards, Graeme Nichols ---------------------------------------------------------------------- A plucked goose doesn't lay golden eggs. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- - IMPORTANT. - - The contents of this email and any attachments, which may be con- - =20 - fidential, are sent for the personal attention of the addressee/s - - only.
