You can press Home or Left arrow key to get to the beginning of=20 the text, End or Right arrow to get to the end of the text. Both=20 ways the text will stop being selected. None of these should=20 affect your clipboard or mouse selection, so you should be able=20 to press any of these keys and then paste as you please. I believe we could work around the default selection of the text,=20 but many users find it convenient: you can just type things and they replace the previous text. Or you can hit Home or End and enter text before or after the previous text.=20 However, if it is so annoying, maybe we could make this option=20 adjustable in Preferences?
