Well, that is why the CVS version is the development version. This is the version that is used to implement new features. Before a release is made, every attempt is made to eliminate bugs. Without this "unstable" version, progress really couldn't be made. If you look at the disclaimers of a lot of other projects, they say the same thing. For example, Ximian's Evolution mail utility has the following disclaimer for their snapshot builds from CVS: This channel contains hourly builds of Evolution and associated packages, directly from CVS. These packages are highly unstable, and may be dangerous. If you have doubts about using these snapshots, please install the latest Evolution Preview Release from the Evolution channel. The 0.5.1 release seems to be pretty stable. I have had very few bug reports, and none of them major. It seems to me, that while we've got a solid release available, we can take a step back, and make new, major feature additions that are needed. Currently, I can open an existing database, create a new person, and import an existing database (with a bug of not being able to append to an existing database). Are you getting tracebacks?
