What about line feed, carriage return, or am I pushing my luck!

Unfortunately, (as I understand it, which is a very limited 
understanding), the 1.0.3. version is for Mac OS X 10.3, and I am 
using 10.2.

The problem is apparently Gnome2 which I gather is used by versions 
of gramps after 0.8.0, and which is tricky to put on 10.2

Excellent, there can't be many bugs with that small a fix! 
Unfortunately, is this only available with Python 2.3? and the 
version for Mac OS X is 2.2, so there is another gotcha!
