After just getting back to use the latest AOI package (64-bit) and reviewing some of my notes, I realized that by creating a separate user account and installing the package only for this user, I can keep both the executable and the data separate. The data will go into C:\User\%USER%\AppData\Roaming\gramps\ while all of the executable stuff goes to C:\User\%USER%\AppData\Local\ In fact, if you make the new user account a non-admin type, the installation will default to the users' AppData/Local directory. I suppose one can override the data directory path, but that would defeat the purpose :-) At this time I haven't done a lot of testing with any of this, but it would be good to hear if anyone has any experience with something along those lines and how it worked out.
