As mentioned, you don't want "everything"... you just need to understand what the .gpkg file as and how to use it. When you import from a gpkg file, it unpacks the media into a folder (in your home I think) that has the fullpath replicated in a series of directories. For example, if you import my_family.gpkg, you may have a folder structure like: /home/yourid/my_family.media/home/yourid/files/... /home/yourid/my_family.media/usr/local/files/... This will copy wherever you have files referenced, replicating the structure. After import, you need to change your base Media Path to this folder, and then everything will be fine. To better deal with this, I make sure all of my media is in one directory. If I import a gpkg, I move the newly created media directory to a standard location. (If this seems too confusing, I agree, and hope to make Gramps a bit more friendly in integrating media).
