I'm currently building up some fairly raw "tree" using familysearch. This is working OK for me, but I've hit a GUI snag. I've got some families with a large number of children, born over an extended period, back around 1700. Now, something interesting happens. At a particular date boundary, the church where the kids are christened moves from one village to another. It's fairly clear that the family moved. However, this (quite reasonably) doesn't "show" on the parents or family objects under geography. So - for reasons of personal convenience more to do with Gramps than geneaology is it "reasonable" to put an implied residence event on the parents (or family?) based on the evidence of the christening? Or is there a better way to represent/work with this information? BugBear |
