On an older version (1.x ?), Gramps has provided an option to hide this tab! We already had a question like this one on mailing list (look at "LDS" and "russian" on achives). It should still be 'easy' to modify your Gramps 3.x for hidding this tab. I did it some months ago because large sequence of tabs (list) might be sometimes anoying according to translated items and available weight on some editors (person, family). --- En date de : Dim 16.6.13, Muhammad Bashir Al-Noimi <mb...@gm...> a écrit : De: Muhammad Bashir Al-Noimi <mb...@gm...> Objet: Re: [Gramps-users] What "LDS" means? A lot of the work done to digitise ancestral records has been done by the Church of the Latter Day Saints (Mormons). Their teachings include the belief that, in order to get into heaven, everybody must receive a Christian baptism. (Please excuse me if I have any of this wrong - I'm not a member of that Church.) They have set themselves the task of posthumously baptising every person on the planet since Adam and Eve, and of course this means they need to trace back everybody's ancestry. LDS in the context of Gramps probably refers to baptism ceremonies etc. conducted according to this belief. If that so, I'm wondering why Gramps developers add this tab by default in "New Person" window although not all users are Mormons?! they can put it as option not primary tab!!! -- Best Regards, Muhammad Bashir Al-Noimi -----La pièce jointe associée suit----- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This SF.net email is sponsored by Windows: Build for Windows Store. http://p.sf.net/sfu/windows-dev2dev -----La pièce jointe associée suit----- _______________________________________________ Gramps-users mailing list Gra...@li... https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/gramps-users |
