Note, some days ago I reported a minor issue on current merge dialogs (context details for events)[1]. Not directly related, but change should be on the same files (merge). I will not be connected to the web during this week and I do not know what should be the right choice for the fix[1], but if time, one could make the change on trunk (and 3.3.x).
