Rob, Does the javascript code (API) for map providers should not move now from htmlconst to webstuff module ? Because it is no more a value/head for html page and "marker stuff" is already done on webstuff. As much as this is known, I still agree with Jerome! I believe that the improvements made to Place Maps as in trunk should go into Gramps-3.3.1 before it is released!!! Sincerely yours,Rob G. Trunk is planned to have NarrativeWeb broken into manageable pieces. I suppose the last code for a better maps handling (maps providers) and OpenStreetMap support should be backported to 3.3.x ! The simple url embeded into the object markup is correct but not very nice for osm maps. The OpenLayers API sounds much better (even it is javascript ...). Note, Google has closed some of their labs on last weeks. Fortunately they keep Google Maps, but we do not know the future of Google Maps' API. Currently, there is a simple "alternate url" on 3.3.x for 'osm' (OpenStreetMap). As next major release is not for next months and as NarrativeWeb will be broken, maybe to backport the last improvements (selector, htmlconst, API) for map handling from trunk to 3.3.x makes sense ? What do you (devs) think ? Once the user clicks this option, then another option shows up ??? That doesn't sound like it conforms to UI standards. You can set the sensitivity of a widget to make it un-selectable, if you give a good indication why it is grayed out. I am specifically talking about in NarrativeWeb ...
