Hi, I found strange behavior of Gramps and I was playing with it more than week. But I solved it :-) Suddenly Gramps stop offering me any other graph format than .gv. All PDF's, SVG's and anything else was out. I have reinstalled whole Gramps, all prerequisities, but it didn't help. Nothing bad or suspicious in log. After that, I was thinking several days about that "strange" error and as I believe that computers are deterministic, I have checked other Python programs on my computer (OS = Windows 7). Inkscape, no problem, it was there before Gramps and everything worked ok. Calibre... and it was the problem! I bought recently an E-book reader and installed famous software Calibre. As many other Python software, it takes whole Python itself and install script add a path to system PATH variable. This puts Gramps into non functional state (I'm not a Python guru, but it looks like the Python is confused about from where it should load what). After removing Calibre path from PATH variable, everything works ok - all formats for Graphing are now available. The point: - is it common known issue or should it be somewhere (on wiki) written for other Windows users? Martin |
