Christoph, There is a page on the wiki, but it is in the form of a Gramps Enhancement Proposal (GEP) found here: http://www.gramps-project.org/wiki/index.php?title=GEPS_009:_Import_Export_Merge That means that this is just in the planning stages. Espen's suggestion may work for some changes, but is not a long-term solution (and I would keep copies of the XML before the merge, in case it doesn't work). Merging at the XML level is not the same as merging at the level of genealogy data. If you limit the diff-patch method to allowing people not delete items, but just add and correct, then you may be fine. BTW, there is a Gramps import/export method that does allow some updates/merges. See: http://www.gramps-project.org/wiki/index.php?title=Gramps_3.2_Wiki_Manual_-_Manage_Family_Trees:_CSV_Import_and_Export Hope that helps, -Doug > Cheers > > Espen > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ > This SF.net email is sponsored by > > Make an app they can't live without > Enter the BlackBerry Developer Challenge > http://p.sf.net/sfu/RIM-dev2dev > _______________________________________________ > Gramps-users mailing list > Gra...@li... > https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/gramps-users > |
