Even some errors popups in Gramps (my testing scenario is putting the 'Š' character into a note and pointing cursor on this note as it is described bug I have posted - http://www.gramps-project.org/bugs/view.php?id=3935). It looks like it has to do with differences between pythonw.exe and python.exe. I'm not sure what the ramifications of running under python.exe are, but it at least runs the program. When I do run it this way I get the debug messages printing to the command window. For example: "C:\Python26\python.exe" "C:\Program Files\gramps\gramps.py" --debug='' setup debugging '' 1032: WARNING: spell.py: line 66: Spelling checker is not installed You might be able to use this to run a test on a new tree and see what error messages show up. -- Jakim |
