A space, comma, separator, letter issues ? It should be "easy" to write a rule on your default date handler for parsing these textual dates. i.e the next time you will load your database, this new rule will parse text on dates, so you will get valid dates (calculate age, sort events, data check, etc ...) :) Jérôme Jérôme a écrit : > Robert, > > > There was some improvements on date management on Gramps-3.1.x > (calculate age, span/range period filter, slash year, etc ...) > > I do not know if you had run "Date test" debug tool or handling problem > on display ? > > 1. Unforntunately, it found a number of errors. DATE TEST now constitutes 83% of my database. How do I fix the problem? >> >> I looked up the online manual and an earlier PDF version and could find little or no referrences to FIXING ERRORS ON THE DATABASE. I know the the Date Test is a format problem but how do I fix it and eliminate the DATE TEST (83%) from the database. Try to be specific if you can. >> >> The problem: how do I handle Date Test Errors so they are removed from my database? As I said before I upgraded from Gramps 3.0.x to 3.2.0 and whilst loading my database which was in na Gedcom format it wanted to varify the data data. It did this. When it had finished I found my 'People List View' was full of greened out Date Test errors. The 'Events List View' also has the same problem. Reading the online and printable manual material I realized the format I used for entering Dates was incorrect. >> >> What I need to know because I couldn't seem to find it in the available material,is how do I fix and removed from my database these greened out errors? They now constitute 83% of my database. In the past when ever I update from to a newer version I have never had a problem previously whilst updating. >> >> Because there are no instruction I could find could you please be specific in any instructions in fixing the problem please? >> >> Thank you for nay help you can provide If you have any other questions please don't hestiate to ask. >> >> Robert Gibbins >> > > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ > > _______________________________________________ > Gramps-users mailing list > Gra...@li... > https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/gramps-users |
