Hi, A few weeks ago a commit was made to gramps.sh.in to add -O. The resulted in disabling some debug code. For example in the plugin status dialog there is no "reload" button anymore. I mostly want to debug Gramps (more than just using Gramps, which I don't). What I would like to suggest is to introduce a global variable, which is set from the command line. Perhaps we can create a debug module which can reside in gen/debug or we can add something to gen/utils. Commandline usage would then be something like this: gramps -d <level> ... where level is a number so that you can tricks like: if gen.utils.deblvl >= 1: print "some info" for l in somelist: if gen.utils.deblvl >= 3: print "lots of output" -- Kees |
