I tried the process required to create reference areas for a pic or photo, and it is simple and easy, and I was able, based on the instructions (and a little guidance) to add reference areas to several photos in my GRAMPS repository. I did, however, find a glitch (not the software, my logic) for which I need some additional guidance. When I viewed several of the photos I for which I created reference areas, the labels (text) displayed were not the names of the individuals, but comments extracted from an event. Would someone tell me how the text/comment data is associated with the reference area is linked, and from where the data is extracted? Should the data link not be to the indiviual (or place), or is it linked with a choice of data fields from the database?
