I don't know if there's any more direct way, but I added the group photo to the Gallery of each member of the group in turn and set his reference region there (i.e. for Edmond, attach photo, set reference region; for wife, attach photo, set her region, etc.). This automatically sets the name. I also attached the photo to the marriage (i.e. Edmond and wife, where the children are listed). The appropriate name then appears when you hover over a particular region, wherever you've put the photo.
