I was asked by Brian to release 3.0.0 since all of the major issues on the 3.0.0 roadmap had been resolved or punted to a future release. > I personally recommend that we can at least get a number of 3.0.0 > packaged for the different distributions, .deb .rpm etc and see if > anything rears an ugly head. I've been asked not to create the .deb, but instead wait for the official .deb from...? I actually don't know from where. I myself am waiting for the .deb so I can install 3.0.0 on my non-development system. As for the .rpm files, they're normally contributed by various developers, but no-one has contributed one yet. If you have a .deb or .rpm to contribute, please ftp it to ftp://upload.sourceforge.net/incoming, and then send me an e-mail so I can add it to the release page. Or send me an e-mail telling me where I can get it, and I'll take care of getting it to the right place. Stéphane |
