HI -- I've got a question about how the media manager converts absolute to relative paths. Here's what I did: 1. change to directory d:\home\shared\gramps (on windows, obviously) 2. Open a grdb in d:\home\shared\gramps\ 3. add a media object: d:\home\shared\gramps\media\test\test.jpg 4. using media manager, convert the absolute to relative path. 5. The modified path is: d:\home\shared\gramps\media\test\test.jpg In other words, no change. Shouldn't it change to media\test\test.jpg ? Next, in the same session I did this: 1. using media manager, replace "d:" with "" my test case is now \home\shared\gramps\media\test\test.jpg 2. using media manager, convert absolute to relative. The resulting path is: ..\..\..\..\home\shared\gramps\media\test\test.jpg This works, but the leading "..\..\..\.." is not needed, since "\home" starts at root (for the drive) This sure looks odd to me. I suppose the problem may be that the full path to the grdb begins with "d:", but I'm not sure. |
