I just wanted to thank all the people who put in a lot of effort to get GRAMPS 2.0.11 into Ubuntu Dapper Drake. This was quite the effort, since the packages in Dapper had already been frozen. Through the efforts of Alex Roitman, Trevor Rhodes, and Carsten Niehaus, we were able to get an "Upstream Version Freeze exception". Since Dapper Drake is going to be a long term support version of Ubuntu, we felt that it was critical to get our most stable version into this release. And this has another important benefit to us, since the Linux Genealogy Live CD that we produce is based on Ubuntu. --=20 Don Allingham <don...@co...> |
