[Gramps-users] applying a "fix" to GRAMPS

Hi all,

Please forgive the newbie questions...

VERY new here and to Ubuntu and GRAMPS. It is interesting reading this 
subscription list though most of it is over my head. Now I have a question 
about something else that seems to be over my head.

I have been reading here:

and specifically here:
http://bugs.gramps-project.org/view.php?id=1075 because I too, have had this 
same error message many times.

In the NOTES section, someone named "shura" fixes this problem. Here is the 
quote in part:
"I fixed this in SVN 8621."

So my question becomes...just what is "SVN 8621" and how can I apply it to 
my program so I no longer get this error message either? If it is something 
to do with terminal, please explain in a bit of detail since terminal is new 
to me as well.

Again, sorry for the question. I know it is easy to most if not all of you 
but I'm still learning big time.
