Yet two kinds are in my opinion quite universal: one done during a religous ceremony (e.g. in a church) and one done in front of a civil servant, so called state one. In Poland these two used two be taken seperately and consequently had different dates as weddings are usually taken on Saturday when offices are closed. Today it's most common to only have a wedding in church and the registration at the city council is done by the priest. It is, of course, still possible to have these two ceremonies seprately. Also, there are people who marry at the city council only due to their beliefs and it might be worth noting in the program. Piotrek |
