I am running Fedora Core 6 and have just installed GRAMPS 2.2.2. Because of the warning message about using an old version of Python, I installed python2.5 from the python web site. It recommended that you "make altinstall" so as to leave your original python intact. I did that. Now, how do I tell GRAMPS to use the new python2.5 ?? Without blowing up other python aps (please!!)..... python2.4.4 in in /usr/bin with a symbolic link to it called python2. python2.5 is installed in /usr/local/bin. |
