Recently I purchased a Wintec WBT-201 due to the Linux support for Wintec devices in the past and the upcoming support for the WBT-201. I built gpsbabel from CVS without problems. Communication with the WBT-201 seems to work using: gpsbabel -t -w -i wbt -f /dev/ttyUSB1 -o kml -F out.kml However the generated KML file contains incorrect data: Only the first and the last waypoint/placemark has correct data, all others are incorrect: First placemark: <Placemark> <name>WP0001</name> <TimeStamp><when>2007-06-12T19:23:46Z</when></TimeStamp> <styleUrl>#waypoint</styleUrl> <Point> <coordinates>8.982297,50.293437,132.000000</coordinates> </Point> </Placemark> Placemark somewhere in the middle: <Placemark> <name>WP0206</name> <TimeStamp><when>1928-02-25T01:35:47Z</when></TimeStamp> <styleUrl>#waypoint</styleUrl> <Point> <coordinates>-0.000000,-0.000000,-1.000000</coordinates> </Point> </Placemark> Last placemark: <Placemark> <name>WP0241</name> <TimeStamp><when>2007-06-13T04:05:41Z</when></TimeStamp> <styleUrl>#waypoint</styleUrl> <Point> <coordinates>8.980277,50.292103,113.000000</coordinates> </Point> </Placemark> For waypoints the situation is similar. Besides the CVS version I also tried the compiled version available from http://hexten.net/downloads/gpsbabel-1.3.4beta-wbt201-feisty-i386.tar.gz with the same result. The WBT-201 works properly using the bundled software for Windows. Any ideas? Axel |
