Be sure you specify a '-t' in your conversion:

 gpsbabel -t -i lowranceusr -f enchilada.usr  -o mapsource -F xxx.mps -o gdb -F xxx.gdb

seems to work.


(Olaf, how would you feel about removing the "if doing_*" tests in
gdb_write_data() so we'd always just Do The Right Thing here by default
when faced with mixed-mode input?)

If the above doesn't pan out and it's small, that's fine. Better yet,
