Hello. I just found GPSBable so I am still learning the ropes but I hope someone can help me with this question. We are developing a web based application where a user can create a waypoint on the application and I would like them to be able to "sync" this data with their GPS. Right now I am doing some experimentation on my Lowrance iWay 350c. So what I did is save the current waypoint information on the GPS unit to the data.usr file on the MMC card. I pop the MMC card into my computer, convert it to GPX XML format, add new waypoints, convert it back to a data.usr file on the MMC card and then put it back in my GPS unit and then load the data off the MMC card to the GPS. What I am seeing now is duplicate waypoints listed on my GPS. Specifically the Waypoints I previously created on the GPS itself. So when I reload the data.usr file, it does not overwrite the existing, exact same waypoint and now I have a duplicate. Any suggestions on "synching" the GPS with our application and avoiding duplicate waypoints?
