My message to the congressmen follows. WIPO, development, and public health I am writing in support of Senate Resolution 241 and House Resolution 525. We need ways to insure that the power of the patent is not used against the public interest in people's well being. When development and public health interests conflict with corporate interests, then policy should reflect an ethic where the public interest trumps. We are not talking about a problem about which company profits by how much, which pales beside the life and death issues of access to medicine. It is clear where our priority should be.
