I hope this project is still alive. A feature which would
make gnofin useful to me would be the ability to make
and print out a deposit slip. I am sure that there are
millions of people like me who don't use quicken
or mym or gnofin because of this lack. I want the
ability to enter checks and cash in batches, to
have the document entries sorted by dates and
the checks for deposit to each bank sorted and two deposit
slips printed out for each bank and a cash report
for each cash account.
I have found that entering all my cash and checks
simultaneously is the most efficient and accurate
way of dealing with my situation of getting paid
largely with small amounts. I don't do this daily
and I don't want to.
It has always amazed me that checkbook
programs are able to deal with many small
withdrawals but not many small deposits.
