Yesterday, I uploaded v0.39 of GMorgan to SourceForge. There are a couple of screenshots, an overview file and a tarball. It works on 32 or 64 bit Linux machines, but I don't know about windows. After you download, do this: $ autoreconf --install Then as explained in ABOUT-NLS: ./configure --with-included-gettext and follow the remaining standard install procedure. To Initialize: * There is a user-editable Chordtable in the data directory that defines the symbols that will be recognized. You must move this file to your HOME directory as .ChordTable. (It is a CSV file so you could probably edit it with a spreadsheet program.) * On the menu at the top: Settings -> global should produce a dialog box where you can set midi in and out connections as well as the location of the files that it needs. If you press the browse buttons, get to the data directory, they almost come up by themselves. Once you set it, you can probably forget it. For now it is best run with a midi keyboard and a linux machine. Please let me know what you think of it. Bob Otherwise, you will not find the configure file that you need for the next step. |
