hi, I have changed GLC so that it can now be used to write python code with Tkinter/Pmw bindings. This was done by rewriting GLC to support plugins and then writing a plugin for Tkinter/Pmw support. There are a number of benefits of these changes: * GLC can support any widget set (in theory, at the moment it only supports * Glade can now be used for developing non GTK apps, as long as they are developed in Python. * This may well get more people interested in developing both GLC and Glade further. The changes are in the CVS tree, but are not yet pushed out as 'released files'. -- The duck quacks. |

This message doubles as a test message and an intro message to state the current state of the project. Lately there hasn't been much work on improving glc, but that should change soon! I really want to get this project to a point where you don't have to include the glade files with your program while expanding it to meet whatever needs I can think of. First I need to famaliarize myself with the current codebase since it wasn't originally written by me. If you feel that you can help out with fixing bugs and adding new features, please join the glc-devel mailing list. If you're having problems getting glc to interpret your glade xml please post them here. Thank you, Bryan Stillwell |
