Request for & offer of help: I'd like to solve this myself if I can but I need a bit of help getting started. I have my Epson Stylus Photo R800 working with gutenprint-5.0.0.99.1 but the color balance is awful. Yellow green skin, etc. Is there a patch or set of parameters that will fix this? I've tweaked some of the params myself, with a bit of improvement but this is a laborious (and expensive with photo paper) process. If there isn't a fix readily available, can anyone tell me the best way to go about this and then contribute the values / patch back to gutenprint? I'm a professional software engineer with a lot of years using Linux, but I know nothing of gutenprint's architecture or image processing or color theory, etc. I really would like to help but it's a bit daunting... If anyone has time to help a newbie help the project please reply directly rather than clutter up the list. Thanks in advance. -- "Matters of great concern should be treated lightly... matters of small concern should be treated seriously." -Hagakure, Yamamoto Tsunetomo |
