Yes, we are thinking about porting the driver. But we are not going to do it
soon, because there are lots of other things to do and I don't have much time
at the moment.

Four and a half years after your request, I'm happy to tell you that I'm starting to test my first draft of a CAPI version of the Gigaset driver. No promise of a release date yet, but I'm getting nearer.

0) CAPI support was added in Linux kernel v2.6.33, see commit 7bb5fdc2fb02 (" gigaset: add Kernel CAPI interface (v3)"). It's the default interface since commit f6a68e691fa2 ("isdn/gigaset: enable Kernel CAPI support by default")
1) Linux kernel v2.6.33 was released six years ago. So it's about time to try to close this issue as fixed.
