Hi Hal!

If you use the old alpha, you'll get something funktional, although I'm not 
sure if the meter stuff works since I've never been able to test it (using 
linux here, too).

I'd also appreciate it if you could let us know how the build goes & report 
any error messages. Hope it works for you.
