Better then that :-)

The developers are madly porting the raster support that made WCS work 
so well over to "trunk" on geotools. When they are done
I imagine a new release will be made available.

But then the experiments will end ...

For GeoServer 1.4 WCS will be made available as an optiontional download 
form the "community" section, when the user docs are ready
the whole things will be released as GeoServer 1.5. For more details 
please review the IRC logs from this weeks meeting.
