Due to physical constraints, the shutter of the camera is only open for about 1/2 the frame period and so the temporal anti-aliasing is far from perfect. I suspect that if you could gang together two out-of-phase cameras (perhaps sharing one lens and using a partially silvered mirror) and then post process the two reels of film, you would get much better results.
