well, i'm taking the delve into artificial intelligence, and i wanted to play around with some ideas i have up in my head.. i read some articles, but most of them are pretty basic from what i want to do. like they make routines like, enemy sees player, player hits enemy. enemy state increase temper variable; if the temper variable hits his temper limit then make him angry, if so make him mad, etc.. etc... now, i took a look over at amazon, and the ai books are like 100$++, i really don't got that kind of cash right now, already have to fork over 400 for the ps2 and probably 500 for the nv20... hoping someone could show me an ai book which is 'good', maybe something like Real Time Rendering style but for AI. or maybe some good papers would do, i'm still looking over at ai.mit.edu but there are just so many papers to sort through to find good ones... i really don't want to see this again, www.angelfire.com/ab3/nobody/temp/loveit.jpg and i could just hack this off on my own, but barney said something like, "the first thing one must do is find out what has been done previuosly, less you waste your time doing some thing that has already been done and probably is better then your implemention". i think he was refferring to STL though... sorry for being off topic here, but AI and games interwine ;) thanks, laterz, akbar A. ;vertexabuse.cjb.net or ;www.vertexabuse.com cjb goes down once in a while "necessity is the mother of strange bedfellows" -ninja scroll |
