Thank you very much! I'v used the following line and everything seem to work now. System.setProperty(GATE_HOME_SYSPROP_KEY,"c:\\Program Files\\Gate 3.0 beta 1\\"); But isn't this something that the system sould already know about? I installed Gate from the binary distribution. Is it some kind of enviromental variable that i can change from somewhere? _____ From: own...@dc... Sent: Monday, 11 October, 2004 17:46 Subject: StandAloneAnnie - NullPointerException Dear Gate Experts, i am having troubles running StandAloneAnnie. (I've downloaded the sample code from your web site). After compiling it successfully i get the following error : java.lang.NullPointerException at gate.Gate.InitCreoleRepositories(gate.java:190) at gate.Gate.init(Gate.java:124) at StandAloneAnnie.main(StandAloneAnnie.java:94) Exception in thread "main" After recompiling the gate source code (i just inserted some System.out.println() for debbuging purpoces) i noticed that in gate.initCreole repositories the following command returns null to pluginsHome File pluginsHome = new File(System.getProperty(GATE_HOME_SYSPROP_KEY) As a result the command plugins.listFiles() returns null. Thanks for your help. Papagiannakopoulos Panagiotis |
