I am trying to set up a firewall for a linux box running IPv6. It refused to compile, complaining about an invalid IP address. Sometimes FWB gets confused, so I closed it and restarted it; now it will not load the .fwb file at all, instead displaying this error: The program encountered error trying to load data file. The file has not been loaded. Error: Exception: Invalid IP address: '2402:b800:9:1::6' XML element : Management Now the thing is, that IP address is just fine, nor did FWB complian about it when I initially entered it. Not only that, it has compiled it in the past. So what is going on here? In case it is significant, this happened first when I was playing with an IOS ruleset, but the error is now happening on an iptables compile. The really irritating thing is that I can't load the file to get rid of the offending address and try again.
