Here is a suggested change: Q. Does fvwm-themes replace my .fvwm2rc? If not, how does it work? A. When you use Fvwm-themes fvwm doesn't read the .fvwm2rc file. When fvwm-themes starts, it reads your configuration from files in these directories: $FVWM_USERDIR/themes/current-main/ - the current theme in the main session $FVWM_USERDIR/themes/current - symbolic link to the actual current theme $FVWM_USERDIR/themes-rc - the .fvwm2rc equivalent $FVWM_USERDIR/themes-rc-2 - additional rc used by themes-rc, symbolic link The rc files themes-rc and themes-rc-2 are created by fvwm-themes-config. If you still feel the need to hand edit a file, create a directory called $HOME/.fvwm/themes/personal and put your changes in $HOME/.fvwm/themes/personal/startup. (I wasn't too sure what the FAQ was trying to get at by using and trying to explain $FVWM_USERDIR, but I don't think new fvwm users would be aware of FVWM_USERDIR. In the FAQ it might be better to just call it $HOME/.fvwm.) -- Dan Espen 444 Hoes Lane Room RRC 1C-214 E-mail: da...@mk... Piscataway, NJ 08854 Phone: (732) 699-5570 |
