Hi everyone! First, many thanks to Miklos Szeredi and Csaba Henk for FUSE itself and the Python bindings, respectively. I'm writing a university project entitled 'Paging to Remote Memory'. Part of the idea was to do it in userspace, to test how much can really be done with FUSE. I have written a filesystem that connects via TCP/IP to a remote server and provides memory through it. Then I ran swapon on the device, and failed. I went looking in the kernel and found the bmap requirement. As you can guess, I was stuck for a while :-) Then this morning I read that Miklos had committed support for the bmap operation, which was exactly what I needed. But the header file says "this makes sense only for block device backed filesystems mounted with the 'blkdev' option." I can see this certainly does not work with my current code. How would I go about making it work? Thanks in advance! Lars |
