Hi, my name's Lars and I'm attempting to create a filesystem which changes a path to account for certain requirements (a type of wayback filesystem for the documents at our company). Can a user application, when its requests pass through FUSE (ie. when browsing a mounted FUSE-based filesystem), determine the path of a file or directory? Let's say a user opens Nautilus to display the content of a directory. My filesystem sort of redirects to display the content of another directory. Based on the filenames displayed, or other information obtained via readdir or similar calls to fuse, can Nautilus determine the real directory the files are in? How? I want to avoid redirecting a directory which already is the redirected one. Actually a user shouldn't get to know the paths after redirection but assume its the path he clicked or typed.
