I (being a class-A blockhead) omitted the -d from the command line starting fuse on my system, and wondered why it failed so gracelessly. I finally did the unthinkable, RTFM, and noticed that "-d" option: 3) run 'example/fusexmp /mnt/fuse -d' It made a considerable difference; however it also seems to turn on a variety of chatty messages, which I'd like not to deal with. Is there a short answer to this, or must I comment out all the message-printing statements, one by one?
