Greetings. I was happily using encfs for quite some time now and never had any problems. However, after upgrading recently to 2.6.25 it stopped working, and I assume, the problem is fuse specific. I'm using fuse 7.2.3, encfs 1.4.2 and I checked for all the obvious permission problems. Upon trying to mount encfs filesystem, encfs becomes stuck. When doing the mount as unprivileged user, strace shows that "mount" fails with -EPERM, after which encfs gets stuck in the recvmsg (I presume, it never bothers to check the actual mount return value). Even more interesting thing happens when I try doing same as root. fusermount gets stuck in the actual mount syscall. When I kill it with -9, target directory suddenly gets mounted (with nothing - it just becomes inaccessible until I call umount twice on it). Did anybody saw something similar? ____________________________________________________________________________________ Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Yahoo! Mobile.
