Try this:

- create empty TRDOS image
- select Pentagon in Fuse
- open TRDOS image
- SAVE "testfile" CODE 32768, 32768

Every fails with error message "Unimplemented TRDOS multisector read: ...", this message will displayed with origiral Technology Research TRDOS 5.03 and with some modified TRDOSes too. (Im using czech version TRDOS 5.05 - in attachment).

This bug is very annoying and very long time unrepaired, some files cannot be loaded with very simple BASIC loaders.

This is really more of a feature request than a bug - Fuse just doesn't support this at the moment and we are well aware of it.

Stuart Brady is working towards a new version of the TR-DOS code that should cover this case (his latest work is under patch 1546570, but doesn't currently work in the Pentagon emulation), so I hope this will be addressed one day.

As Fuse is a volunteer project, it will be done when someone has the interest to make it happen, once someone has updated code that is ready to include we will do so.

Thanks, if Stuart Brady works on it, that is very good new for me. I tried edit trdos.c source, but without success.

Will emulation WD1793 and compatible FDD controllers (WD1797, SAB2793 etc.) independent on disk system or not? This chip was used in many disk systems, not only Disciple or Betadisk, but in older models of Didaktik 40, Didaktik 80 and all MB-02 too (i thing in Dataputer Diskface plus too, but i am not sure). Newest models D40/D80 and Didaktik Kompakt have I8272 - same as in ZX Spectrum +3.

I should make it clear that there is no guarantee that will get finished any time soon!

The FDD chipset emulation is not dependant on the disk system at the moment, though we have yet to take advantage of that in Fuse.

Now that the +D emulation has been merged, I do plan to take a look at Betadisk emulation again. Hopefully the WD179x is sufficiently similar to the WD177x that the same FDC code can be used. Emulation for more disk systems (MB-02, Opus Discovery, etc.) would be good.

Is this handled by the new Betadisk code?

Yes, this has now been fixed.
